Who an electric tricycle is actually right for

What a three wheeled electric bike really does is remove the balance tax from cycling. On two wheels you pay that tax at every stop, every slow turn, every shoulder check. Most riders never notice it because they paid it decades ago. For a large group of people it is the one thing standing between them and riding again.

That is a narrower claim than the ads make. A trike is genuinely the right answer for these riders:

Tadpole and delta: the two layouts, and what each does in a turn

Every adult trike is one of two shapes. A delta has one wheel in front and two at the back: the classic upright shopping trike with the big rear basket.
